<What is a cold cream?>
A traditional term in the French Pharmacopoeia, cold cream, or cosmetic cerate, is a thick, semi-occlusive formula.
The name "cold cream" is quite simply linked to the fact that the first cold creams, whose formula was unstable, tended to slip out of phase, and created a feeling of cold when they were applied on the skin.
Nowadays, the new generation cold creams have the same ultra-rich, moisturising properties as the traditional cold creams, but their innovative textures are more pleasant, extremely comfortable to use and providing protection against external attack.
