Lightening
<How does the pigmentation develop in the skin ?>
Pigmentation is the result of a complex process that involves 4 stages:
1. Ultraviolet rays and the “biological mediators” (substances present in the cells of the skin) trigger the process of pigmentation, stimulating the melanin-producing function of the cells known as “melanocytes”.
2. Melanin is produced by melanocytes.
3. The melanin produced this way is transferred into the layers of the epidermis.
4. It then migrates towards the surface of the skin as a result of the permanent turnover of the cells of the epidermis.
