<Why do spots appear on the skin ?>

Blotches appear on the skin when the pigmentation mechanisms are impaired and, more specifically, when there is an increase in the production of melanin.
If melanin is present in excessive amounts, it is no longer distributed uniformly at the surface of the skin.
It accumulates in some places, and this leads to the formation of unsightly and unpleasant spots.
