More than 20 years of innovation
BIODERMA's research is performed by a team of highly qualified scientists and aextremly reputable operators. INSERM (Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale - National Institute of Health and Medical Research) and CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - National Centre for Scientific Research) teams specializing in the skin sector are our partners in innovation, investigating differents aspects of fundamental research for BIODERMA.
These works gave birth to numerous innovations which since became references:
• The 1st non detergent shampoo : Nodé Fluid.
• The 1st cleansing waters : the micellar solutions Sensibio H2O and Sébium H2O.
• The 1st biologically-active sunscreen ingredient that counters the long-term damaging effects of UV exposure : Photoderm and the patent Cellular BIOprotection®.
• The 1st skincare product that corrects the quality of sebum : Sébium AKN and its patented ingredient, Fluidactiv®.
• The first skincare who acts directly on the main cause of skin redness : Sensibio AR and its patent Rosactiv®.
BIODERMA positions innovation as its core concern and devotes major resources to it.
BIODERMA hence has a research and development unit at Aix-en-Provence, and a biometrology laboratory, the CIREC (Centre d'Investigation et de REcherche Cutanée - Centre of Skin Investigation and Research), based in Lyon.
